I'm 25, about to turn 26. Am not sure how I feel about surpassing a quarter of a century, but it's better than the alternative. I've never done live journaling or face book or anything else like it, but I guess now my cherry is popped. I work in a domestic violence shelter and absolutely love it. It doesn't pay well, but it sustains me, in more ways than one. It's uplifting, enriching, emotionally exhausting and never the same thing two days in a row. I'm Wiccan, specifically family tradition. I'm active in my religious community, and between pagan and other communities am blessed to have what i think of as an extensive kinship network. My bachelor's degree is in anthropology. I'm currently torn between going back to school for a counseling degree (of some kind) or a law degree, but either way want to work with victims of abuse/violent crime. My interests include safety and violence in the lives of individuals and communities, working to end poverty, and the intersection of poverty and violence. I care very much about my community(ies), and am a native of Akron, specifically Highland Square.
